I’ve had a terrific week with the Monash University Orchestra preparing for our free concert tomorrow (Saturday) at Robert Blackwood Hall Hall. It’s somewhat of a tribute to the late great Maestro Richard Divall as we premiere his edition of the Horsley Violin Concerto (1849) performed by the extraordinary Sophie Rowell . The work was presumed lost but Richard discovered performing parts in the National Library and made an edition. Works by Beethoven and Schumann as well as another surprise addition (again a tribute to the work of Richard Divall) round out this beautiful program. Saturday  7.30pm FREE! https://mapa.monash.edu/event/monash-academy-orchestra-northey-conducts/
