A life-affirming Beethoven 9 in Christchurch Saturday night plus an absolutely extraordinary performance by Martin Riseley of the Beethoven Violin Concerto. Special thanks to my colleagues – the musicians of the CSO led by Sarah McCracken, Christchurch City Choir, Jubilate Chamber Choir, Consortia the University of Canterbury Chamber Choir, the Burnside High School Senior Chorale, Amanda Amanda Winfield Atlas, Sally-Anne Russell, Oliver Sewell, James Clayton and everyone involved behind the scenes from volunteers to the tireless CSO management. Most of all thanks to our wonderful audience for completely filling Wigram Air Force Museum! The city of Christchurch has been through its share of challenges and to see so many people brought together through the unifying power of music is what it’s all about. ❤️
